Coconut Spice
Located at Pueblo del Rio, near the Baru river mouth at the entrance of Dominical, this place continues to serve up authentic Thai and Indian cuisine. The lemon-grass soups and pad Thai are both excellent, and there's a broad selection of different curries and other main dishes. There are several open-air dining spaces, and the best seats actually have a view of the Río Baru.
La Parcela
This open-air restaurant has a lovely setting on a rocky bluff overlooking the ocean. Try to get one of the tables by the railing and you'll be able to watch the waves crashing on the rocks below. The menu features fresh seafood, meat, and poultry dishes, as well as a selection of pastas.
San Clemente Bar and Grill
Located next to the soccer field in Dominical. The menu has a large selection of Mexican-American fare ranging from tacos and burritos to sandwiches. You can get any of the former with fresh fish. There are also more substantial plates, as well as nightly specials. Breakfasts here are also excellent. Just off the restaurant is a large indoor space that has a pool and foosball table, and which becomes one of the town's more popular nightspots, particularly on Friday nights.
Tortilla Flats
Tortilla Flats is the only beachfront bar and restaurant in Playa Dominical. You can enjoy your coffee at one of the tables on the beach as you watch the morning waves some in, or step inside for breakfast starting at 7am. They offer a mix of traditional American breakfasts and Costa Rican favorites, with coffee, juices, and fresh fruit smoothies to wash it all down. At Tortilla Flats, lunch can be anything from typical Costa Rican dishes to foot long subs to the freshest seafood anywhere around.
