We are located on a mountain ridge about 10min from the next beautiful wide sand beach called Quapil.  The next bigger town is called Dominical and is a laid back surfer town. The local beach in Dominical is well known in the world for surfing. 

The biggest plus of being on the mountain is that the air is fresher and cooler at night and there are almost no mosquitos especially in the dry season from December to April. The beach is very hot, humid and since there are mangroves close by there are bugs on the beach as soon as the sun goes down (No-see-ums, sand-flies and mosquitos).  Thats why all the nicer villas are up on the mountains. Interesting enough almost all the guests initially ask about how far we are from the beach but when they are here they know why almost everybody lives up higher.  Besides the view is incredible from higher up and you will experience the  real Costa Rican rain-forest. Manu villas and Spa is surrounded by tropical rain-forest and owns 30 beautiful acres right in the middle.
