Tropical massage

Osa Mud Wrap: Before the advent of deodorant sticks and Evian water sprays, the Native Indians in the Osa peninsula had a natural body heat retardant. They smeared mud all over their skins in order to tolerate their year round hot and humid climate. Its alkaline balance cools down the skin and replenishes moisture to prevent sun damage.

Deep Tissue Massage: An in-depth anatomical massage that starts by releasing superficial layers of muscle tension. Once the body has begun o release lactic acid, the second stage of the massage penetrates the inner most layers of the muscle fiber. The effect is to generate the healing process of the connective tissue between the layers of muscle, creating a feeling of renewal and regeneration.

Aromatherapy Deep Tissue: Your choice of a regular or deep tissue massage with the additional healing benefit of aromatherapy. Essential oils are especially selected for your skin type after consulting with the therapist. They will then be scented to either ignite oral factor calming or gentle circulation into the surface layers of your skin-- a doubly delicious treat for your body and soul.

Costa Rican Hot Stone Massage: volcanic stones are warmed and placed on the charkas, energy centers and areas of pain in the body, during your massage to promote deep relaxation and restoration. The stones, highly valued for their healing properties, are used to work specific areas of tension and stress as well. This treatment honors the ancient Native American technique that the earth helps draw pain from the body with its inherent rich minerals.

Cooling Paradise: combine the healing properties of fresh Aloe Vera, vitamin E and lavender essential oil to generate circulation for those with sensitive skin or for those who have over indulged in the sunshine. The healing trinity is known to re-elasticize tight, tired and dry skin as well as relieve the sunburn.

Tropical Body Polish: the combination of shredded coconut, freshly grated ginger and lemongrass oil provides a gentle yet stimulating exfoliation for the skin. Ginger, known for it’s stimulation and warming qualities, is combined with grated coconut (a natural, gentle exfoliate) and lemongrass essential oil to help rid the body of toxic buildup and increase circulation.  A natural alternative to laser rejuvenation.

Tropical Masks

Cucumber and Yogurt Mask: recommended for oily or sensitive skin types. Cucumber is mixed with yogurt to calm and refresh the pores that are over stimulated and to help create oil zones on the face.

Avocado, Vitamin E oil and Honey Mask: recommended for those with dry skin. These three restorative ingredients balance the PH of the skin without adding greasy textures, as well as enhance the overall calm of pores that dry out easily.

Papaya, Honey and Mint Mask: recommended for those with normal skin. The enzymes in the papaya revitalize the skin while the mint reduces swelling around the sensitive tissues of the eyes. A rejuvenating taste of the tropics!
