How it all started ...

Pepito was born some day in February 2011 in Hatillo de Aguirre in the Southern Zone of Costa Rica. When his troop of white faced capuchin monkeys crossed a road over an electric line his mother was killed instantly by the electric shock. Pepito - only a couple weeks old - was burned on his hand a little but was otherwise unhurt from the high fall of the electric post.

We found him that day running around near the site creaming for help and brought him home.
